[COLLEGE WORK] GAME ENGINE IN DIRECT X 9 AND C++

This is a 3d game-engine demo made in C++ and Direct X 9. It has dynamic per-pixel lighting with multiple lights and real-time shadows, a particle system that is used for the moving clouds and water, post effects like gray scale when the player enters an irradiated area, skinned mesh, axis-aligned collision system and FMOD for sound. For this I did the programming and another person did the art.

This demo is set in a post-apocalyptic future where humans have turned into light-fearing mutants (hence the name Luminophobes). This game has the player working towards the hero's quest to save his mutant turned wife and cure her. The player has to avoid mutants by shining a light into their eyes and solve puzzles. Throughout the game, players find survivor notes which act as collectibles and also give an insight into the life of other people who have not become mutants yet.

[COLLEGE WORK] UDK LEVEL DESIGN

This level was made in Unreal Development Kit entirely by me in college, using assets provided by the UDK content browser. While working on this I wrote the story, drew the story-boards, created level layouts and set areas where combat would take place and finally created and scripted the level in UDK.

The story is set in the distant future and begins with the protagonist's spaceship crash landing on an undiscovered alien planet (Influenced by Unreal's opening). Upon exploring for a bit, the player finds the native alien race is being dominated by an invading alien species.

This is the first level of that story and has the player starting from his crashed spaceship, meeting a friendly native, fighting hostile guards and planting explosives to escape to the train station.

[COLLEGE WORK] 3D GAME IN C++ AND DIRECT X 9.0

This was made using C++ and Direct X 9.0 by a team of three which included me. Its a 3d arcade game in which the player controls an aircraft and evades enemy aircrafts. My work on this one was programming the AI, particles and game-play.

[COLLEGE WORK] MOBILE 2D SIDE SCROLLER

This is a 2d side-scrolling shooter set in a future with an ongoing war between man and machines. It had me doing the programming, game design, asset creation and penning the story. This was made for mobile devices using J2ME. It was also made for Windows using C++ and Direct X (Screenshot taken from PC version).

[COLLEGE WORK] FLASH SIDE SCROLLER

This is a side-scrolling beat-em-up with a dark aesthetic. Made in Flash using Action-script 2.0 it had me coding, designing, creating all the art and writing its story. As one of my first games, it has enemies who try to attack you, a drive-able vehicle(which can also be used to run over the enemies), falling platforms and acid pits.
